Dr. Matwa Christopher (BSc-hons-physio; MBChB; MMed-PRAS): -
A qualified and certified Plastic, Reconstruction and Aesthetic surgeon registered to practice the discipline by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists council (KMPDC).
Qualifications attained include a bachelors degree of science in Human Physiology, Bachelors degrees of Medicine and Surgery and Masters Degree of Medicine in Plastic, Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery.
He is a member of the Kenya Society of Plastic, Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgeons (KSPRAS). He has further affiliation to the Wound Care Society of Kenya and the Burns Society of Kenya.
Dr. Matwa doubles as a lecturer of Human physiology and Surgery at the Kenya Methodist University where he teaches and instructs undergraduate medical, nursing, pharmacy, medical laboratory and clinical medicine students.
Dr. Matwa is the proprietor and CEO of Truffel Healthcare Kilimani, which is private practice based at the capital city of Kenya – Nairobi. He has vast experience in both reconstruction and aesthetic surgeries. This includes running philanthropic services with smile train – an NGO that supports correction of cleft lips and palates.
He does outpatient consultations and inpatient services (intra and postoperative surgical care) at Truffel Healthcare, Kilimani and a variety of other hospitals within and without the Nairobi environs.
He is also interested in research where he has been doing extensive studies on wound care management through Negative Pressure Wound Therapy.
